Hal Jordan is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris, if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax...he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.


WARNING: One of the more revealing scenes between Hal and Parallax in the following TV spot could be considered by some to be a little spoilerish, so watch at your own peril! The few new seconds of footage shown are even more excerpts from the 10 minutes shown at WonderCon and Kapow! Comic Con.



With an all star cast which includes Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris and Mark Strong as Sinestro, director Martin Campbell's Green Lantern is set to be released in 3D on June 17, later this year!

I have a feeling this one will do the best out of the CBM's this year. My god, it just looks amazing.

This or Thor will do the best. I guess First Class has a chance, but after the Wolverine movie... Dunno how well it'll really do. I guess the GA knows more about X-Men than GL & Thor, though. My pick is def GL. :F

LEEE- Still haven't seen Thor yet. It comes out next week. Already have planned to go see it in IMAX, take about an hour trip to get to the IMAX, but I hope it's worth it! Saw some behind the scenes stuff at Best Buy, looked great :D

They're promoting heavy cause up till now we had diddly squat from GL, just a crappy trailer that barely even shown Hal as GL. Now that the movie is nearing completion and they have more material they can show us they still need to get word out to the general public what this movie is really about, which isn't taking off pants and flying a jet. As far as complaints go I guess haters are gonna hate. My personal opinion is that the movie will be more than decent. The only complaints I have as far as CG goes is just Hal's suit and maybe Parallax. Aside from that I really have nothing to [female dog] about as far as the CG goes. Oa looks perfect, the other members of the Corp look perfect, the constructs look badass. To tell ya the truth I'd rather have all that then a nifty looking suit. Like I said, this is just my personal opinion.

@Otisburg - You are obviously in panic mode.

Regarding Green Lantern: Parallax finds Hal Jordan without fear or he overcomes it right there and then when he is attacked. Either way do not make him evil WB/DC! We do not want to reprise the tragedy of the 90s!
Green Lantern will be nothing short of amazing!

I love GL, but when a non-comics friend of mine saw the trailer and heard "you will become - a GREEN LANTERN!!!" he snickered and thought that was crap. GL may be a hard sell to the non-committed public.

Otisburg, the post production team on GL has been working overtime and they warned us that stuff wasn't ready to be shown. Is this not what we've all been waiting for for the past 6 months! newer better footage! stfu people! quit complaining about the these trailers. theyre all the same anyways with new quick glimpse in each one. if anything i feel like ive already seen thor from the over abundance of footage they've shown in the two/three months prior to its release and am growing a little less excited bout it. green lantern is less than two months away so it makes sense to start showing trailers and such. every trailer looks more and more awesome! so stoked for this and thor! both will do great!

Otisburg is an obvious troll doing nothing more than attempting to get a reaction. He/she/it will be there opening night along with the rest of us.

This movie keeps looking better and better. I have a feeling when the world watches this and proclaims this movie the best cbm of the year, we're all going to look at each other and chuckle out, "I know right!"
