MTV caught up with Blake Lively (who stars as Hal Jordan's love interest Carol Ferris in the upcoming Green Lantern) at a recent press event. Lively had some interesting things to say about her possible future, if there are indeed sequels to the Green Lantern.

"There are lots of winks toward the audience, you know, if people like this movie then we will do more and, you know, my character Carol Ferris turns into a villain that challenges and fights Hal Jordan... with some CRAZY costumes. I mean costumes like you guys will have in the cage today."

Directed by Martin Cambell Green Lantern stars Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond and Mark Strong as Sinestro is slated for release here in the state on June 17th.

Granted, she has not won any Academy Awards, but she has won some film critics awards for her work on "Elvis and Anabelle" as well as "The Town" and "Gossip Girl". There is obviously a good number of people who think she can act.

In the sequel Hal's greatest allies (Sinestro and Carol) will become his greatest enemies. Throw Guy Gardner in the mix and you have quite the sequel there.

Also she's defiantly hot enough to play Star Sapphire and the only thing I've ever seen her act in was The Town and she did fine in that. Maybe we all just need to calm down about her playing this part a little. She can't be as bad as Katie Holmes in Batman.

Some of you are nuts. She's super sexy with a body that was built to be beat up on. Give me 20 minutes with her and I'd put her in a wheelchair.

She was good in The Town, but if my girl makes me watch Gossip Girl one more time I'm going to request that Grif shoot ME in the chest.

She played a crack whore in The Town, and she was average at best, plus her Boston accent was terrible.

@darkmatter will agree with me, she is probably the worst miscast of this years crop of CBM movies, People will still see her as a Gossip Girl instead of Carol Ferris, plus this has Kate Bosworth all over it again. Bottom Line she cant act PERIOD, though Megan Fox & Anna Faris are worse "actresses"

Shes not attactive to me, to me shes Coyote Ugly, I wouldnt touch her with a 100 foot pole

@brazilianbatman If you are Brazilian, you live in a country that should have a hell of a lot more hotter woman than Blake. I am from Texas I know what babes we have here, and a majority here will agree when I say Jaimie Alexander aka Sif (and native Texan) is better looking than Blake AND fits Sif better than Blake fits Carol

That is exactly why she would be a great Star Sapphire! LOL!

Actually, I barely know anything about GL and next to nothing about Star. I've never seen this chick in anything so I don't know if she can act or not. Having said that though, she does have a great ass and legs. She is definitely not ugly, but I would have cast someone prettier with bigger boobs.

@GarthRanzz our judgment on her acting is not in regard to anything in this article. for reference on her horrible acting, see any episode of "Gossip Girl," as well as her role in those traveling pants movies and "The Town."

@deanwilkins Let me put it to you this way. If Blake were in the same Starbucks line that my wife was in 2 1/2 years ago at the same time, I would have still taken my wife over Blake and bought her that latte, so I know what a good looking woman is

@Helagood Agree, but no guy should have to sit through an episode of Gossip Girl or see a traveling pants movie and not have the woman who forced him to watch it charged with Cruel & Unusual Punishment. Like I said she was average at best in The Town.

she's not good enough for the avengers,thats why she isn't in it.
