Months ago, the first
Green Lantern concept art images showcasing aliens
Kilowog, Abin Sur and Tomar-Re were leaked online. A week later, another image surfaced; this time of the
Guardians of the Universe. The Movie Insider, a subsidiary of
CraveOnline.com, recently posted images on their
Green Lantern movie page titled "Production Works." Though the images seem to be rather rudimentary when compared to the confirmed concept art listed above, they could very well be our first look at the
Green Lantern movie title, the Lantern uniform and ring manifested constructs:
MPP - Well, I'm having a hard time weighing in on the validity of these. First of all, they look more like crude images of a Green Lantern video game, not a movie. Then again, it's not specified that they are for the film itself so they could very well be early renditions of a video game based off of the movie. I'm not an artist so I don't know what the different phases of conceptual designs are (i.e. which come first).
Also, the information that I received while on my Green Lantern movie set visit pointed towards the Lanterns having white in their uniforms (though nothing specifically was said about white gloves) and these don't seem to have any white on them.
On the other hand, the first concept art images were never confirmed to be valid by Warner Bros or DC. We didn't know they were official until images surfaced showing the movie's production title to be identical.
Real or not, I think they look great!
