New Green Lantern Filming Location

New Green Lantern Filming Location

The cast and crew are moving onto another area of New Orleans; find out where after the jump...

After spending the majority of last week filming at the University of New Orleans, the Green Lantern production crew will be hitting the streets of Louisiana once more.

Filming will take place near Main Street & St. Mary Street in Madisonville from Monday (April 5th) to Wednesday (April 7th):

Though no information has been revealed about the possible use of the new location, you can highlight the text below to see what my best guess is.

SPOILER WARNING!

12 year old actor Gattlin Griffith begins shooting his Green Lantern scenes this week. His role in the film hasn't been confirmed by the studio yet, but I believe he will be portraying a young Hal Jordan (read more about it here: http://comicbookmovie.com/fansites/Poniverse/news/?a=16233).

Given the slightly secluded, woodsy location and the fact that both Gattlin and Jay O. Sanders (who's playing Carl Ferris) are both currently on/near the production, my guess is that they are filming the Martin Jordan crash scene.

My second guess would be Abin Sur's crash landing on Earth.

Many thanks to Christine at OnLocationVacations for another great tip!

You guys know I've driven all the way through New Mexico like 50 times. Alot of open space out there and completely open horizons. A good place to get lost.

I'm not even paying attention to any Green Lantern stuff yet. If the majority of it's going to take place in space (similar to First Flight), we are SOOO far away from seeing anything to give us even a general idea of what we're gonna see.

Hell we haven't even seen anything from Thor yet, except prop ice bergs lol.

The GL production is going rather smoothly just like Thor but with set pictures. Comic Con is gonna be awesome indeed, hopefully I won't be the only CBM dude goin there.

lol@Star
Those are classic.
The build Ryan has there in Paperman seems right for Hal Jordan.
When he wears his suit I'm pretty sure he will look very superheroic.
