Hal Jordan is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris, if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax...he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.










































With an all star cast which includes Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris and Mark Strong as Sinestro, director Martin Campbell's Green Lantern is set to be released in 3D on June 17, later this year!

Again, kind of a sausage-fest in the GL Corps. No wonder they had to put more clothes on the token female Lantern from the trailer... it sends a different kind of message if the only woman they keep around is nearly naked.

A shame though, because I personal enjoy nearly-naked alien babes.

The single poses with Sinestro and Hal look weird with their arms sticking out to the side like the other alien poses. Tomar's pose is the best and the typical hero pose.

for months pages like this have been chock full of verklempt whiners: "why aren't they promoting Green Laaantuurrrn? It's only 5 months awaaaayyy".

They knew that a heavy blitz a few weeks out is what works best in this short attention span culture, not what people like us would want (but we're not "normal" by definition if we're writing on this column).

And now you complain they're doing too much.

Just go with it - it's all good, and none of it matters.

@mainstream... ew is right, but if you're thinking in latin, pene as a prefix means "before" and Ops is the combinative variant of Opis, who was not only a fertility goddess but also the mother of the ruling trifratrivate of iupiter, neptune and plutus. the gist of a construction like "penelops" wouldn't literally mean just "before opis," though, it would imply ancience. as in, "not only before jupiter's reign but even before his mom's."

then again, maybe it just means "penis eye." ;)
