While an official teaser is set to premiere in front of the latest Harry Potter film next week, Entertainment Tonight has premiered their pre-preview of the highly-anticipated Ryan Reynolds-starrer Green Lantern movie. In the thirty-second clip, that you can check out below, we get a first, and thankfully due to the grody CGI, not last look at Reynolds suited up, as well as the "Dark Lantern" Kilowog, planet Oa, and Siniestro.

UPDATE: The snippets from the promo below, are in fact said to be from the same teaser that'll premiere Friday, including the "grody" CGI.
UPDATE #2: The Movie Box has provided a much higher quality version of ET's pre-preview. To see the improvement, be sure to switch the quality from 360 to 720, if it's not already there. Screencaps alos below.



ET will air the Green Lantern coverage on Tuesday, November 16th, while the film is set for theaters July 17, next year. And since the official teaser is set for the coming Friday, in theaters, expect the teaser online maybe sooner. What do you think?

The fact that some of the footage looks textured and others don't. I guess I don't have "fact" but it's not uncommon for a trailer to use incomplete CGI.

Damn, you just beat me DCMF! :P

I think the movie looks great, but the scenes where he's talking to that guy on the sofa look dreadful! In fact the costume looks fake as hell in those shots! Hopefully they'll sort the CGI out by next June.

I've heard that the Potter trailer is gonna be way more dark/serious than this preview. The CGI is gonna look thousand times better in the end! BUT IT SHAPES UP TO BE AMAZING!!!!!!!!

The people behind the CGI on Green Lantern is arguably the best in the business. Warner Bros/DC wont let this movie look second grade. It will be premium supreme graphics!
It will look so incredible when its done. And critics, remember: its not been that long since they started post.
It still got a good couple of month to be refined and look extra cut! My only complaints is the eyes of Hal, they should be completely white, but who knows if they'll fix that.
Ryan's hair is not entirely like Hal's but its okay!
Marvel is gonna have a good [frick]ing run for its money coming next summer.
I wonder if the Scream awards score is the one thats going in or not but I said GODDAMN!!!!
This movie will be amazing!

I remember when Hulk '03 first showed footage and everyone said THAT movie hadn't finished it's CGI and we got...well we got what we got.

Blake Lively doesn't need CGI.

Anyway getting the same Iron Man (maybe a little Spider-Man) vibe there. That's actually pretty good.

Watch it again, it grows on you. It's just so startling in that first scene, especially in that light. The scenes on OA look pretty good though IMO.

Looks good. DC is hit and miss on movies. I believe Johnna Hex was last, so this should be a hit. I would trade two chainsaws for a opening day movie ticket.
