RESULTS: What Did You Think Of Green Lantern?

shame i wish it was better .. but i can see that GL is one of the more harder ones to transfer from comic to film .

is was a good summer film, but it certainly should have been better with the all talent they had

Terribly low standards. I'm in shock that there are that many people who said it's amazing. It's surprising that that many pople even said very good. Anyone who is actually satisfied with this movie fails to grasp the potential of what it should have, and easilly could have been. Itsjustsomerandomguy probably put it best.

I was very happy with the movie. Most of us have a certain story in our mind and think that it is the perfect movie and everything else, since it wasn't our idea, is crap. We are wrong, most of us. My fave story/movie for Green Lantern just won't work. That's why I don't make movies I guess. Maybe I can come up with something for Aquaman.

Screw Green Lantern I want a Flash movie.

The 26 percenters; what the hell were you thinking?! I refuse to declare GL the worst CBM, but by gawd, it did suck!

Haters gonna hate. Green Lantern was not the greatest cbm but it was absolutely not the worst! It was just in the middle. The sequel will be however one of the GREATS!

its not the worse dc film or the worst cbm ever,but dc should be ashamed of this.its great they tried something new,but they failed to deliver.

@Warkiller - I hope it does so. It probably will. It hasn't been released internationally yet so we have to wait and see.

They should get a new director, Matt Reeves or JJ Abrams. Two writers not a thousand different nimrods. That would be about right!

WTF the people who choose "Amazing one of the best CBM we have had" are fools. yes the movie was fun and all but the film was done bad.

just watched it,very cheesy and not in a fun way,i didnt think there was one thing good about it,especially the soundtrack,cgi and voice overs,they all sounded so cheap and throwback,and once again not in a good way.

Great movie. I just wish that I had the money to see it a second time.

dc/warner ain't gonna be there are they,probably worried about disgruntled fans kicking off.

i voted good but could have been better,but reality is it's not heating up the box office,it was far more better than fantastic four movies or wolverine which audience gave $154 million & $179 million respectively,but well that is how this business goes.

i don't think that the audience cares much for critics,in that case Hancock,transformers 2 can't earn huge money.they will watch a movie with a big star or a movie where the first one was done great,the problem for GL was it didn't have a huge star and been the 1st in the franchise didn't give it's top quality/A class film like Iron man did,pity becoz if it did that then whatever came later on would have been hits,that's where it went wrong(eg - iron man2,transformers 2,pirates,matrix reloaded etc)

though to be honest i really wonder even if it got around 75% of critics approval in RT still it would be big because when i see x-men first class gross it feels sad that it will end up below wolverine which was a horrible movie.Also incredible hulk which was a good movie earned only $134 million and became a flop,so what people watch or don't watch i don't really get but it's not based on quality always coz so many shitty movies have done well in bo and better movies compared to them,but not great,(true)have done worse.

Maaaaaan this is bad... really bad for future WB/DC CBMs. either 1,152 go to sleep in GL PJs or they absolutely know squat about how much source material the useless writers had to create a truly EPIC CBM!! The useless writers were even braggin that it was gonna be the 'star wars' of superhero movies!! WTF!! and with 1,152 on their side they'll actually argue that they did good work!!

It was alright.

I liked it, but as with all book/comic book/cartoon/video game/etc. adaptation movies I went in with low expectations. I will get it on dvd though when the price is right... (hello $5 clearance bin...)
