Ryan Reynolds Angers WB Executives--and Wife Scarlett

This sounds a little tabloid to me, but what the hell...

Fox411 hears that there could be trouble in paradise for newlywed couple Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds. The two movie stars were married in a quiet ceremony on a wilderness retreat in Canada on September 27, 2008, and the couple has kept their relationship under lock and key for the last 10 months, but our spies warn of recent arguments and fights. The most heated occurred last week, as they were about to depart for San Diego’s Comic Con sci-fi convention.

Scarlett, there to discuss her new role as Black Widow in “Iron Man 2,” was set to appear on her panel with Robert Downey Jr. and other cast members. Ryan was just cast as the lead in “Green Lantern,” a Warner Brothers flick. An insider tells FOX411 “they got in a huge fight just before they were going to Comic Con. It caused such a rift between them that Ryan refused to attend the conference and he told Scarlett she could go alone. She got so angry she threatened to take off her wedding band.”

The conference continued as normal, with a notably absent Ryan missing from the Warner Brothers panel. The company had planned on debuting major plans for the new superhero movie, and now insider says Ryan has “angered the executives.” Apparently Scarlett began the fight but came out smelling like rose thanks to her appearance at the conference.

“Ryan pulled out at the last minute and word spread fast. He isn’t making a show of good faith to the Warner team after they battled over the decision making him ‘Green Lantern’,” says our snitch. “Scarlett ended up looking like the true professional and acted as if nothing was wrong, answering questions for fans and posing for pictures. It was not a good way for Ryan to begin his work as the star of the movie.”

What a loser if it's true.

I hope this is just another swarm of rumor mongering because I am a huge Reynolds fan and it would suck if he would have to pull out of anything related to Green Lantern.
Even though he wouldn't have been my first choice, I feel he has the acting chops to pull off Hal Jordan.

This story is SO BOGUS! It's bogus for 2 reasons: Reason 1: Ryan Reynolds is shooting in Barcelona, and has been in Spain since Friday. Reason 2: While yes, Ryan Reynolds has been cast as Hal Jordan in Green Lantern, the movie isn't released until 2011. WB isn't going to talk about this movie at Comic-Con until next year.

Craig@ I agree with everything you said

deadleaves@ your right ocourse, cause if it was any other network they wouldn't have room fir any stories other than how thier messiah is now president and how Sarah palin sucks, since that's all they seem to cover these days. Journalism at it's finest.

Just like the rumored Paltrow vs. Johannson fight, crap. Totally agree with Craig and deadleaves. What were they gonna talk about with GL? "Oh we have some nice artwork that might be in the movie for you guys."

Heh this sounds just like younger Hal. Everything was about him, until he got the ring and met sinestro and the whole Specter/Parallax thing, Hal was uncontrollable. Maybe he should go as far as to remove his wedding band and replace it with the ring of a lantern.

Save this nonsense for tmz, or the tabloid rags. I'm sure most of us have our own relationship problems to deal with. We don't need to read about other people's shit.

BS. Totally made up story and isn't even remotely true. Ryan wasn't at all planned to be at the Con and would of never agreed to it since there was no way he could of made it to begin with.

On a side note I'd hate to see anything happen to their relationship, but I would be slightly happy if this was true and he pissed WB off so bad they kicked him from the movie. He was the second worst casting choice of the year right behind Thor. Reynolds should of stuck with Deadpool and left it alone he has no place as GL. Also this is coming from a huge fan of Reynolds I love his movies and find the guy to be a terrific actor he simply isn't the right choice and I could of thought of several people far better for the role of GL. They are just capitalizing off of his name and that's the only reason he was cast. It had nothing to do with being a good solid choice. GL will suffer for this. The film looked promising and i've lost so much hope for it. I have given up on Thor all together.

One.........it's not true.

Two.......... yawn....... really don't give a damn.

No one's booting him from GL, and no one is booting her from Iron Man 2, so, this is basically a waste of newsprint, cause unless they split and she comes to me to me to be consoled :P ....... I could care less about their lover's spat.

reynolds and scarlett are two strong personalities, that are bound to clash. i wont be surprised if they call it off. as for WB execs, its about time to call bradley cooper, i like reynolds, but id rather see him as deadpool, thats a lot of comic book stuff for one person.

My god! My daughter is wheelchair bound with a terminal illness, my son has autism and my wife has just been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but this news has shattered my world! Ryan wasn't there to give the only answer he can give to any question "Yes, I have accepted the role of GL". What else could he answer? There's no script, no budget set, what would have been the point?! Is it really that bad WB would toss him out? I don't think so!

I doubt its true, even if it was I am a much bigger fan of his than hers. I think shes overrated anyway. I do kinda feel bad for Alanis Morisette since I guess he dumped her after a long time and ended up with Scarlett. I guess I just have funny taste though, while I do agree that she's a good-looking girl, I would hands down take Judy Reyes (Carla) Pictures, Images and Photos
over her...a blonde white girl that looks a lot like Barbie Doll, I mean, that's anywhere across college campuses and night clubs...a sexy Latina nurse...that's where it's at gentlemen.
