"What happens is all the characters are killed in the first 10 minutes...In really horribly brutal fashion," Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn revealed about what he has planned for the opening of the 2017 sequel. He's joking of course, but did go on to confirm that each member of the original team will return along with "unspecified other characters from the first film, and that fans may see the team adding new members."  He sadly didn't specify who! As for how work on the follow-up is progressing, he added: "I spent all day on August 1, the day the first movie was released, writing ‘Guardians 2'. I was so excited about it and I was finally able to let go of the last one and begin the second one. I always saw this as a universe, not just as one story."

Talk then turned to the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release of the first movie, and Gunn promised a number of deleted scenes, including one where we get an extended version of the scene where Rocket ridicules Star-Lord's plan with a fake laugh. "In the long version of the scene where Rocket is laughing at Quill, Quill gets very offended by that and takes a vote of the other Guardians to see who thinks that the laugh is fake. It’s a pretty fake laugh, and I think Rocket gets hurt that Groot goes against him." There are some very interesting comments about 3D from the filmmaker at the link below, but one of the best parts of the interview was when the site put it to Gunn that fans would like to see a Guardians of the Galaxy/Star Wars crossover. His answer? Don't get your hopes up! "‘Star Wars’ was a long time ago. It would have to be time travel!"
