Best Of Twitter: GOTG 2 Locations, DOCTOR STRANGE'S Eye Of Agamotto & X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Shooting
Twitter is becoming increasingly used to tease upcoming films and directors of CBM especially like to get fans speculating. Check out these tweets from James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy 2), Scott Derickson (Doctor Strange) and Bryan Singer (X-Men: Apocalypse) about their respective comic book movies.
With a May 5 2017 release date, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is in the initial planning and writing stage. Director James Gunn is usually happy to answer fan questions including this one about filming locations and casting. It's fair to say that these locations will not be actually included in the film as the Guardians will have more pressing matters to deal with in space, not Georgia. If you were a fan of the casting of Chris Pratt as Star Lord and Bradley Cooper as Rocket Racoon, you'll bepleased to know that the same casting team is returning. Gunn is also back on writing duties as you can see in the below tweet, where a baby Groot t-shirt is providing inspiration.
Another Marvel Studios film currently in pre production is the Benedict Cumberbatch starring Doctor Strange. Director Scott Deckerson has taken to Twitter to tease Doctor Strange's amulet, better known to comic book fans as the Eye of Agamotto. In the comics, the eye was given to Eternity to care for until someone worthy could reach him. Doctor Strange did sucessfully and used it to battle Dormammu. This could be a clue that Dormammu will be the central villain in the Sorcerror Supreme's solo flick.
If their's one director that uses social media to reveal details of their films it is X-Men godfather Bryan Singer. The director is hard at work on his Days of Future Past sequel, X-Men: Apocalyse. Singer has posted a picture on his Instagram account revealing more retro production work for his eighties based film. Check out the image below and share your comments on all these minor revealtions in the usual spot.
