GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2: 4K Ultra HD & Blu-ray Special Features Fully Detailed; Steelbook Case Revealed
Following James Gunn's 4K Ultra HD announcement earlier this week, Marvel Studios has finally released the full set of details for next month's home video release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2.
For the first time in the studio's storied history, Marvel Studios will release one of their blockbuster films on 4K Ultra HD and it's hard not to wonder whether or not their highly lucrative partnership with Sony Pictures had a small part to play in Disney finally making the jump to the premium format.
After weeks of rumors, director James Gunn announced the 4K news himself earlier this week and yesterday, Marvel revealed the full list of bonus material, which is said to include over 80 minutes of exclusive, never-before-seen content, including a four-part behind-the-scenes making of documentary. A hilarious gag reel will also come included along with four deleted scenes, two of which are extended sequences.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will hit Digital HD on August 8 before making its way to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, and DVD on August 22.
