A lot has been said about Ego's very prominent (and potentially villainous) role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but until very recently, we really haven't seen much of his character as the trailer and TV spots have very deliberately decided to exclude him, opting to instead focus on the new team dynamic.
However, with a new trailer just around the corner, it wouldn't be a stretch to assume that we might be closer than ever to finally getting our first real look at Kurt Russell in-character alongside his on-screen son Chris Pratt, who plays the one-and-only Star-Lord.
In the meantime, an actual photo of Russell as Ego, the Living Planet has surfaced and he looks very much in-line with the toys we've seen over the past week, sporting the same costume seen at Comic-Con last summer. The origin of the photo is unknown, but it seems to have originated from a Snapchat story. Check it out below:
Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos.
