During the 2013 South by Southwest (SXSW) premiere of The Incredible Burt Wonderstone comedy, GeekscapeDotNet caught up with veteran Comedian Jim Carrey, when the Kick-Ass 2 actor addressed his rumored involvement with Marvel’s forthcoming Guardians of the Galaxy adaptation. “Never heard of it,” Carrey said unhesitatingly. “There’s a whole world out there created on its own.” About the Kick-Ass sequel, however, the actor says, “It’s gonna be fun...I had a blast.”
It was reported back in late January that Jim Carrey and fellow comedian actor Adam Sandler were inquired about their availability for roles in Guardians of the Galaxy; presumably to voice either Rocket Raccoon or Groot. However, given that Carrey has “never heard of” the 2014 space epic, it was either untrue or Marvel’s inquiry didn’t get pass the comedians’ reps. What do you think?
