Marvel seems to be releasing a couple of these groovy international Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 character posters each day, and these latest ones spotlight 2 of the kick-ass female members of the team.

Following new looks at Star-Lord & Yondu, followed by Rocket & Groot, we have Zoe Saldana's lethal assassin Gamora, and her just as dangerous (if slightly grouchier) sis, Nebula (Karen Gillan).

It'll be very interesting to see what finally prompts these two put their differences aside and team-up to take on Ayesha and The Ravagers.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to hit theaters on May 5th.

I wonder if Nebula will follow her comic book arc into Avengers: IW. She could be a very important piece to the overall narrative. Can't way to see the plan they have in place for all this. While still being a little apprehensive about it.

@Kman - I don't know why but I could swear that she was made up for the movie. I had never heard of her at the time (before vol. 1) and I feel like Gunn or someone said she was original. I've since looked it up but still don't know where that idea came from...

I know I'm weird, but Nebula is the hottest MCU character to me.

@PsychoticSpaceRaccoon - I agree! Karen Gillan is so hot, way hotter than Zoe Saldana, she should have been Gamora!

@PsychoticSpaceRaccoon - Marvel should allow Gunn to make a spinoff about her. 2 hours of Nebula would be so good.

The make up work on Nebula is absolutely fantastic! If Guardians Vol.2 isn't at least nominated for an Oscar for make up next year then something is wrong, especially if Suicide Squad can win over Star Trek Beyond.

These character posters make me really want to see a Dragon Ball Z live action movie from James Gunn. Read that again: Dragon Ball Z, not a rough interpretation of the original Dragon Ball. I think James Gunn is exactly the guy to handle that project - if American cinema ever gets another shot at it. *adds to bucket list*
