We'll (hopefully) see some footage from the Hellboy reboot during tomorrow's New York Comic-Con panel, but in the meantime we have this fiery new banner to keep the hype levels high.

This latest official look at the movie features Big Red himself (David Harbour), but we also have first glimpses of Ian McShane as Professor Bruttenholm, Daniel Dae Kim as Ben Daimio, Sasha Lane as Alice Monaghan, and Milla Jovovich as the villainous Blood Queen.

Plus, we get to see some of the weird and wonderful new creatures that Hellboy and his B.P.R.D. pals will be going up against.



Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy, caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge.

Hellboy hist theaters on April 12, 2019. Be sure to check back tomorrow to find out if that first teaser trailer has found its way online.

@CBMFilmJunkie - Acronyms of the modern age annoy TF out of me. LOTR, POTC, etc. If I have to do a Google search to know what property someone is talking about, I just tap out. Has writing really become that difficult these days? (Plus it's just a shite tagline.)

Milla Jovovich is in this? She can act when she's given the right material, but she also the last decade playing serious-camp as Alice for her husband, at that makes me nervous.

"the idea for it was to have Hellboy finally come to terms with the fact that his destiny, his inevitable destiny, is to become the beast of the Apocalypse, and having him and Liz face the sort of, that part of his nature, and he has to do it, in order to be able to ironically vanquish the foe that he has to face in the 3rd film. He has to become the best of the Apocalypse to be able to defend humanity, but at the same time he becomes a much darker being. It’s a very interesting ending to the series, but I don’t think it will happen."

The Resident Evil movies are essentially garbage (the first a guilty pleasure), but A Perfect Getaway is an awesome movie, featuring a pre-Thor Hemsworth. Plus Jojovich is pretty beautiful, so that sure don't hurt.

I have been super excited for this film, but I have never understood why Professor Bruttenholm is in this or why he seems to be a forefront character for the film when the whole story takes place years after he dies. Other than that I am excited.

Hellboy is without a doubt one of my favorite comics. Excited to see this and still holding out for a high quality BPRD Netflix series.

Mignola fan. Love the way he only draws what's necessary in a panel and keeps the plot flowing. Enjoyed the first 2 Hellboy movies, but thought they lacked much of the darker atmosphere of the comics. Thought they handled the transition to this film really badly. However, now I can't wait!
