HELLBOY Promo Stills Give Us Our Best Look Yet At Milla Jovovich As The Villainous Blood Queen

On the heels of yesterday's Hellboy trailer a couple of new stills have been released, and in addition to another glimpse of Big Red and friends, we get a great look at Milla Jovovich as the Blood Queen.

To accompany yesterday's trailer, the official Hellboy Twitter account has shared two new promo stills from director Neil Marshall's upcoming reboot, one of which gives us our best look yet at Resident Evil alum Milla Jovovich as Nimue, a.k.a. the Blood Queen.

We did get a glimpse of the villain in the trailer, but here we see the powerful medieval sorceress in all her ghastly glory. We also have an new look as the demonic hero himself (David Harbour) alongside his B.P.R.D. allies Major Ben Daimio (Daniel Dae Kim) and Alice Monaghan (Sasha Lane).

Check out the images below along with a slightly different version of the trailer, and let us know if you're looking forward to this new take on Hellboy in the comments.

Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy, caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge.

Hellboy hist theaters on April 12, 2019.

The arrival of Hellboy in the reboot & original film is the very definition of Wal-Mart vs Chanel

Is it me or does that face make-up look like a Halloween mask?

I watched the trailer and I thought the music choice was the worst part. It felt so out of place.

I love the Hellboy comic and I enjoyed the first 2 films, sadly this new one just seems like a cheap SYFY movie. I mean forget about the Hellboy make up and cardboard looking right hand and look at even his clothes in the photo above, his pants and belt are bad cosplay. I'm really really trying to like this, and I think the director and most of the actors ( cough Milla cough) are great, I just wish they had a larger budget to do this film justice.

@TwistedInk82 - Don't forget they are still in post-production. The movie is not coming out for another 5 months. Any issues you have with SFX will be more than handled by then.

@vtopa - Sorry to disappoint you, yes they are still working on post, but not on the clips they released in this trailer, these bits are 100% finished.

@vtopa - Don't let the 5 months fool you, the film is almost completely finished, the only reason the film doesn't come out for another 5 months is because they couldn't find a distributer quick enough to get an earlier release. They may have 5 months, but they don't have money to keep working on the film for 5 more months. It will be sitting on a shelf finished for most of that time.

Not digging this trailer, the jokes, the lead acting take on the character, or some of the dodgy CGI. The original was so much better with Perlman... but who knows, maybe i will see it in theaters and be pleasantly surprised.

My excitement for this movie dropped after the trailer. How is this movie darker in tone?
