The first official trailer for Neil Marshall's Hellboy reboot will be with us in just a couple of days time, and on the heels of yesterday's new one-sheet, star David Harbour has shared a motion-poster via Instagram.

While the previous banner featured Big Red as the fully-horned Anung Un Rama, here we see Mike Mignola's demonic warrior in more heroic form as he calls forth fiery lightning blasts with his Right Hand of Doom.

Harbour added the following caption: "Awwwww, crap... Look who’s coming in April. No, not the 50% still left of the Avengers - hell, that’s practically May... April 12th showers bring one Big Red Flower, beast of the apocalypse, The right hand of doom, the buttkicker of the BPRD, and a host of all kinds of big ole giants and witches and fairies and janky overgrown ugly pig monsters from your nightmares."

Check it out below along with a motion version of yesterday's poster.

Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy, caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge.

Hellboy hist theaters on April 12, 2019. Be sure to check back this Thursday for that trailer!.

I think the thing that irks me the most is the lack of ponytail in all the promotional material.

@Reeds2Much - I do miss the top knot a bit. I didn't realize how important it was to the design of the character.

Besides Brad Garrett and Drew Powell, David Harbour would be my main choice to play The Thing/Ben Grimm. Whenever the MCU gets around to it.

I love how everyone is talking about Avengers:Endgame.

shit. didn't know it was coming in April. That may be the nail in the coffin if this even just turns out 'ok'. could still easily get bodied by Avengers and anything else around it.

So... why did they reboot it?
The first two films were pretty good, and that's most people's opinion, not just mine.

@OuzoPowerMan - I agree that the two films from Del Toro were indeed excellent, it is a bit elitist to feel that there is no chance that a different take could also be good. Why don't you wait until at least the first trailer before making any judgements? Oh, sorry... of course... this in the internet, where people can form immutable opinions with ZERO solid information. Carry on. /sarcasm

@OuzoPowerMan - How do you get that? I am doing the exact opposite of what you are doing. You have already deemed this reboot crap. I am waiting until I see something before forming any opinion either way. Polar opposites.

@OuzoPowerMan - because they did poorly except at home video sales. That and with the comic boom we've been in and movies like guardians coming out gave them faith in the property, but want to start over again instead of a continuity thats 10 years old.

the comics are so dark so i'm confused on why they didn't just keep to del toro if this is what we're getting :/

@knocturnalzen10 - because those movies are 10 years old and only performed well in home video sales.

I don't think that's his hand calling the lightning. It looks like a sword, but I could be wrong.

Anyway, I'm cautiously optimistic for this.

A perfect choice to helm a Hellboy and or BPRD film imo would be Julius Avery

What he did with Overlord was great

Or Panos Cosmatos director of Mandy
