Besides a few producing capacities, Sam Raimi has a huge open space in his time to write and/or direct a major motion picture. With Fede Alverez confirming a sequel to the Evil Dead remake, Army of Darkness 2, and a crossover movie that would bring Bruce's Ash and Jane Levy's Mia together. With this information, Screen Rant (and anybody with a brain) reckons that Army of Darkness 2 is Raimi's next project.

At Wizard World Nashville Comic Con, Campbell who's both actor and producer for the series said:

“The last one was 22 years ago. I just haven’t been racing to do it. Sam Raimi is just a little bit busy making the biggest movies in Hollywood. I use to be busy. Now I’m not. That’s why I’m here.

“Ash would have to stop occasionally from chasing some deadite to catch his breath. Maybe we could do that, I guess. That would be exciting. Fight in a walker. That would be all right. Hit them with my cane. Fake them out, have a fake heart attack, distract a zombie. I like it… [Seriously] All right, sir, the answer is yes.”

I personally like the idea of gags poking fun at an older Ash. He's exaggerating a bit as at 55 I doubt he needs a cane or a walker yet, but it's more so the idea that he's...

I enjoyed the recent re-make.
It didn't have the slap-stick comedy horror feel of the originals but to have Ash back, kicking ass..BRING IT.

What tone will the crossover have? You have the bizarre and hilarious Bruce Campbell and then the intense no frills Evil Dead

l0rd if you recall the OG Evil Dead and it's remake to a degree was played straight but I'm personally hoping the evil dead requel will go the crazier route like the original evil dead II.

[frick] yeah :D I wonder if he'll get in shape for the movie or will try to explain how Ash got chubby after years of fighting the un-dead lol.

Ash: well you see....there were these demonic donuts see...like.....12,000 of them, and there was only one way to beat them

lol

Met him yesterday at Wizard World Nashville. Really cool guy. The only person I didn't mind telling my friends and I to "get the hell outta here," after signing autographs. Classic Ash!

I didn't really dig AOD. I'm not big on the comedy. The Evil Dead remake was cool though. I would like to see the tone if that work out in AOD2
