Sony Pictures has two big horror movie specticals they are looking to cash in on, Carrie, which stars Chloe Moretz, and Evil Dead which will star Jane Levy. Both movies will be at NY Comic Con and are expected to debut new footage. The panels for the movies will be on Saturday October 13th with Evil dead kicking off the festivities. The Evil Dead panel will consist of Levy, director Fede Alvarez, and producer Bruce Campbell. That panel will be followed directly by Carrie which is bring it's star Mortez along with director Kimberly Peirce and actress Julianne Moore. Check out the official synopsis for the panels below.

Evil Dead:

In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up long-dormant demons that possess each of those friends in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival. Appearing in person: Producer (as well as the original Ash himself) Bruce Campbell, star Jane Levy (TV’s Suburgatory) and director Fede Alvarez.

Carrie:

A reimagining of the classic Stephen King horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom. Based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King, Carrie is directed by Kimberly Peirce with a screenplay by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Appearing in person: Chloë Grace Moretz, Julianne Moore and director Kimberly Peirce. Please join all of us from Screen Gems to ask questions and see exclusive footage.

There has been no indication on what type of footage will be shown, whether it will be actual trailers or maybe something more like a sizzle reel. You can check out Evil Dead when it hits theaters on April 12, 2013, and Carrie when it opens on March 15, 2013.

Chloe Moretz comes off as someone who I think picks her movies wisely... as of now she hasnt really done any sh*tty movies yet...so I will reserve my judgment on Carrie

When I met Bruce at a screening for "My name is Bruce" He said if there was a remake or sequel, he would be the old weird guy telling them to stay out of the woods.
