First Image From Guillermo Del Toro's Upcoming Horror Movie CRIMSON PEAK

Legendary Pictures’ CRIMSON PEAK, a co-production with Universal Pictures, is a haunting gothic horror story directed by the master of dark fairy tales, Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy series, Pacific Rim), written by del Toro and Matthew Robbins and starring Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston and Charlie Hunnam.  In the aftermath of a family tragedy, an aspiring author is torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider.  Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds…and remembers.  Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, del Toro and Callum Greene produce, and Jillian Share executive produces.

Crimson Peak stars Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, and Charlie Hunnam, and is set to be released on October 16th, 2015. What do you think about this first look at the movie?

Ugh, OF COURSE Josh Wilding hates Pacific Rim.

And OF COURSE he'll put that opinion into a supposedly unbiased news item.

Del Toro is much better at dark fantasy horror than he is at action. He should let someone else more qualified to direct Pacific Rim while he produces it and writes it and go to direct Dark Universe.

Guillermo needs to stick to what he's good at....which is dark fantasy/thrillers. Pacific Rim is easily one of the worst films I've ever had the misfortune of watching. A sequel to that giant hunk of shit is completely unnecessary.

@Jollem

That would be the creepiest yet most interesting house ever. Then you throw in some giant robots and it gets even better!

That is a pretty sweet image.

Can't wait for the trailer.

Also, he knows how to shoot action. They just need to get a tighter script for Pacific Rim 2.

@MrNiklander

yeah we understand that, but kudos to josh for sticking to integrity and non biased journalism. The reference to pacific rim isn't even necessary, see josh is what I like to think of as a journalist who just doesn't have a life so he choses to bring up things he doesn't like to spark flame wars and just watch us get upset. so I think its safe to say he can go suck a fat one ;)
