Legendary has apparently showcased Godzilla at a recent licensing expo in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where a promotional poster has possibly revealed a clear look at the monster's finalized design. Check it out!

An epic rebirth to Toho's iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world's most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence. Directed by Gareth Edwards from a story by David S. Goyer, Godzilla stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Ken Watanabe and Bryan Cranston with David Strathairn. And the film opens on May 16, 2014!

I dig the design so far. Every piece of concept art has been a refreshing, yet highly reminiscent image of the original king of the monsters.

Does he look a little...bored to anyone else? I know that sounds strange, but he just doesn't look like he's in an intimidating action stance! Oh well, that's extreme nitpicking, so I'll say that I love the design and hope this is real!

As for the poster. It's Godzilla alright.
You can't go wrong with the classic look.

They moderately updated him while playing it safe.

If they made him into that giant iguana thing again Nerds would be out there with pitchforks and torches.

The king has returned!, the king has returned!. I like the design. However he looks a bit too friendly and happy in the poster dont think the "painting" style art helps, but it's for promotions so I can understand why. He'll look more menacing and like this in the film.

I like the small details they put in his design. He actually has gills! gives an explanation to how he can survive underwater for so long.

Looks like a dog mixed with Black Lagoon creature. But ultimately embodies classic Godzilla visually.

Wonder if they kept his out-of-shape body.
