Apparently while reviving the basic premise of John Carpenter's original, director Matthis van Heijningen Jr's
The Thing will also serve as a prequel. I think it looks pretty good, if a little too much like Carpenter's movie. Not that that is a bad thing for today's cinema goers but I guess I was hoping for a slightly different slant.
The movie stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Joel Edgerton, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Eric Christian Olsen and hist theaters October 14th.
