HALLOWEEN KILLS Featurette Highlights Michael Myers' Latest Rampage; David Gordon Green Teases HALLOWEEN ENDS

With the release of Halloween Kills just 'round the corner, Universal Pictures has shared two new featurettes which take us behind-the-scenes of the horror sequel.

By all accounts, this middle chapter in the new trilogy is the bloodiest yet, as Michael Myers is unleashed for a kill-crazy rampage the likes of which fans of the iconic franchise have never seen before. Here, director David Gordon Green discusses some of the kills as we get a glimpse of "The Shape" doing what he does best.

Check out the videos below, but beware of spoilers.

During an interview with Total Film, Green teased what's to come in next year's Halloween Ends. "I think those themes that you're alluding to will be a part of it," he said when asked if fans can expect a one-on-one showdown between Laurie and Michael. "But we're heading in a very different direction for our third chapter."

Minutes after Laurie Strode (Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) left masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie’s basement, Laurie is rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she finally killed her lifelong tormentor. But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie’s trap, his ritual bloodbath resumes. As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster. The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all. Evil dies tonight.

Halloween Kills slices its way into theaters this weekend.

I loved the last movie...best one since the original. But the original was great in how it wasn't brutal or bloody. I'd love to see a sequel like that....but I'm a guy that loves brutally bloody slasher films so I'm not gonna complain.

Halloween Ends better end with a shot of a calendar on November 1.

I'm kinda surprised they didn't get John Carpenter to direct the last one. Though to be fair, maybe they did and he said no

@Dredd97 - Isn't Carpenter already retired from directing movies?

@MV081199 - allegedly. But not entirely. And also it'd be an easy gimmick for the studio "from the original director of Halloween comes the end"

Patiently waiting for a Friday the 13th reboot. But I fear they will just pull a CW and make it awful like the 2009 remake... Although I hope an actual fan of the franchise comes in and makes it work.

I liked the last one but knowing there’s another one kinda kills my excitement for this one. Obviously he survives this movie as does at least one protagonist so I might just watch this one at home and save the money and then do a marathon and go to the theater next year
