Horror fans have been eagerly awaiting a new look at David Gordon Green's Halloween Kills, and it was confirmed earlier today that a full trailer is now playing in theaters in front of Fast 9 and The Purge Forever. Now, the footage has leaked online, and it's pretty damn brutal.
The quality is not the best, so you might want to wait for an official version (it's expected to debut next week). But if curiosity does get the best of you, be warned that the trailer doesn't hold back on spoilers.
We find out how Michael Myers escaped his fiery fate at the end of the last movie, what appear to be some fairly major kills, and more. Plus, there's a suggestion that this sequel is going to borrow a certain divisive plot point from the original film series (no, not that one).

Quite something, eh?
Myers was defeated by three generations of Strode women at the end of the last movie, and while he appeared to burn to death, we all know you can't keep a good masked maniac down for long. Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Andi Matichak will all return to stand in his way - and it sounds like they're going to have quite a bit of backup this time!
Kyle Richards will also reprise the role of Lindsey Wallace from John Carpenter's original Halloween, while Anthony Michael Hall will play Tommy Doyle, another character Michael terrorized in the 1978 film.
Halloween Kills slices its way into theaters this October.
