IT: CHAPTER TWO Graces EW's Comic-Con Cover; Pennywise Terrorises The Losers' Club In New Stills

Sadly, one of 2020's superhero movies has not graced the movie of Entertainment Weekly's Comic-Con special, but it's hard to complain when IT: Chapter Two has been chosen!

While Warner Bros. is giving Comic-Con a miss, the horror franchise will be making its presence felt and now a whole gallery of official images have been released alongside quotes from the cast and magazine covers putting the spotlight on the villainous Pennywise and the A-List actors who make up the adult Losers' Club.

"I think that everything that people love from the first one, like the humor and the emotions and the horror, will all be there," says director Andy Muschietti, "and cranked up, in some cases."

Pennywise is definitely not clowning around in It Chapter Two. “He’s scarier and he’s angrier,” notes BSkarsgård. “There’s a couple of very brutal things in the film.”

Visually, Pennywise hasn't changed at all since the last time we saw him and he's going to be terrorising the Losers' Club in even more disturbed ways in this sequel. "He’s scarier and he’s angrier," star Bill Skarsgard explains. "There’s a couple of very brutal things in the film."

Director Andy Muschietti gathered the young actors who played the Losers in the first film (pictured: Chosen Jacobs, Finn Wolfhard, Jaeden Martell, Sophia Lillis, and Jeremy Ray Taylor) for scenes in It Chapter Two depicting the recovered memories of the adult characters.

The first movie's impressive cast of kids return in the sequel and here we see director Andy Muschietti alongside Chosen Jacobs, Finn Wolfhard, Jaeden Martell, Sophia Lillis, and Jeremy Ray Taylor. Apparently, their scenes will be used to depict the recovered memories of their adult counterparts.

All the other members of the Losers’ Club, including Richie (Hader) and Bill (McAvoy), don’t remember the traumatic events of their childhood. “When you leave Derry, something happens where you forget it all,” says McAvoy. “I think it’s like a [power] of Pennywise’s. Because if everybody could remember what he gets up to every 27 years through history, we’d go, ‘Hey, Derry’s really f—ed up, we should do something about that. We should send in the f—ing Army!”

Richie (Bill Hader) and Bill (James McAvoy) are pictured here, and neither of them remember the events of their childhood. "When you leave Derry, something happens where you forget it all," says McAvoy. "I think it’s like a [power] of Pennywise’s. Because if everybody could remember what he gets up to every 27 years through history, we’d go, ‘Hey, Derry’s really f—ed up, we should do something about that. We should send in the f—ing Army!"

They’re brought together by Mike (played by Mustafa), who is the one member of the Losers’ Club who still lives in Derry and needs the help of his childhood pals for a repeat match against the killer clown. “He’s trying to figure out what the hell’s going on in this town and what he can do to put an end to this cycle,” says Mustafa. “It’s an obsession for him.”

Mike is reportedly responsible for bringing the Losers' Club back to Derry to stop Pennywise. "He’s trying to figure out what the hell’s going on in this town and what he can do to put an end to this cycle," Isaiah Mustafa reveals. "It’s an obsession for him."

The Losers’ Club — James McAvoy as Bill Denbrough, James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak, Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh, Bill Hader as Richie Tozier, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike Hanlon, and Jay Ryan as Ben Hanscom  — reconvenes in Derry 27 years after facing off against Pennywise, who was beaten but not destroyed at the end of 2017’s It.

A fantastic, A-List cast has been assembled to play The Losers' Club in the movie, as we'll see James McAvoy as Bill Denbrough, James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak, Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh, Bill Hader as Richie Tozier, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike Hanlon, and Jay Ryan as Ben Hanscom.

Pennywise is back to terrify the now grown-up Losers’ Club in in It Chapter Two (out Sept. 6), starring Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, and Bill Hader, among others. IT: Chapter Two will be holding a special "ScareDiego" event at Comic-Con and while we don't know whether that means a new trailer is on the horizon, it would be a smart move to release one!

@knocturnalzen10 - Only issue is that (outside of that scene), the kids section was the best part of the book.

@tmp3 - are you referring to the random way the kids escaped in the book or a scene in the adult book?

@tmp3 - This is an article about It, and you use a dancing crab gif when there's a perfectly good dancing Pennywise gif? I'm kind of embarrassed for you.

@Reeds2Much - It's an article about It 2, so the crab seems relevant too considering what happens ;)

Cool.

OT: Anyone see those Birds of Prey spoilers Grace Randolph posted on Twitter? She made a video on YouTube about it today?

@Roodi - Grace Randolph is an unprofessional dumb-ass. She's literally spoiling a movie 7 months in advance for no [frick]ing reason, she should have her press credentials revoked considering how unprofessional she is.

@tmp3 - yeah spoiling the macguffin isn’t cool. But honestly I almost peed laughing when I accidentally read it and if true makes me even more excited for BOP.

I really want some of these CBM to start going off the rails. 4 quadrant general audience appeal be damned.

And what’s the deal with her saying only someone who is LGBTQ can play a LGBTQ character? That also has me in disagreement.

@regularmovieguy - She's such a [frick]ing dumb-ass. Her viewer-base is full of alt-right incels, and she's saying she did that video to "support the LGBT comunnity"... what the [frick]. She complained about a dog being voiced by a person of colour.. wtf.
