This has been talked about for a while, with Director Sam Raimi on more than one occasion stating his desire to make a fourth Evil Dead, and going so far as to say he would get to one eventually. Well now may be the time, as Dread Central report..
Dread Central has it on good authority from a very reliable source that long-time Sam Raimi editor Bob Murawski (Army of Darkness; Spider-man, Drag me to Hell) has packed up and headed out to Detroit to begin work on the long talked about fourth entry into the Evil Dead franchise, which will be "a small indie thing like the first two."
The site also say that they have no word on whether this movie will be a direct sequel, a reboot or any other number of possible "Re's" that are so popular these days. But with Raimi at the helm I don't think we need worry too much. Raimi's Evil Dead movies.. particularly the first two although
Army Of Darkness has it's fans(I'm not one of them), are pretty much legendary among gore hounds and horror genre fans. The mix of scares and comedy make for a seriously fun viewing experience, and fans across the world are crying out to see hero Ash(Bruce Campbell) wield his boomstick again. So I'm sure this news, if on the level, will make many people happy. Groovy.
