"They all float down here..."

In just a couple of months time, the highly anticipated new take on Stephen King's classic novel, IT, will be unleashed into theaters, and we'll see a brand new trailer for the (hopefully) terrifying adaptation at some point tomorrow.

To accompany the announcement, we have a brief teaser-for-the-trailer which provides an unsettling preview of the demonic Pennywise's (Bill Skarsgard) sinister, childlike chuckle.

A group of young kids face their biggest fears when they seek answers to the disappearance of children in their hometown of Derry, Maine. They square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.

IT will be in theaters September 8, 2017.

So. For sure. They're making a part 2 to this?

I don't remember where I heard it but I remember seeing it somewhere.

@MrWarlock - From what I understand the first movie is them as kids... and the second movie would be them returning to Derry as adults

@MrWarlock - yes they are. The director said so in an interview with Collider. You can find it on their YouTube channel.

They had little kids wearing yellow raincoats and holding red balloons walking around all of Comic-Con. Apparently, they would just stand in some corner as people walked by.

@MasterMix - and!?!? What did you think!? It was awesome to me but the shining is my all time favorite

@chewie - It was good. Cheesy, but creepier than I thought it would be. Tim Curry was the best part and I really liked the Loser's Club. I think Carrie is my favorite Stephen King movie, but The Shining is also great.

Not feelin that Pennywise. Part of what made Tim Curry scary (aside from, ya know, it being Tim [frick]ing Curry) was that he actually looked like a normal clown. This mofo just looks like a generic scary clown from a generic horror movie.
WeAreDenim
WeAreDenim - 7/26/2017, 2:38 PM
@Fekkius - That's true! Wow, hadn't thought of it, but the costuming is a little TOO high budget, huh? Ghoulish effects could be added, but you're right: the low-rent feel of his costume (the lace and loose fabric) sort of adds to the weirdness of the original.
