Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter explores the secret life of our greatest President, and the untold story that shaped our nation. Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (director of Wanted) bring a fresh and visceral voice to the blood-thirsty lore of the vampire, imagining Lincoln as history's greatest hunter of the undead.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter stars Benjamin Walker, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rufus Sewell, Jimmi Simpson, Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie, and will be released on June 22, 2012.

I love some of Tim Burton's movies (Beetlejuice, Batman of course), but this seems a bit silly. The whole vampire thing has been so overused & warped recently it's beginning to become insulting to the whole mythology. I'm sure Twilight caused Bram Stoker to roll in his grave.

"By far the most bizarre premise ever."

My sentiments exactly. A little out there for my taste.

The book is really good. I hope the movie is less Burton and more Bekmambetov. That guy has done some amazing stuff before he even got to Hollywood.

The book is a fun read and like others have said quite accurate historically. The author is known for his rather "out there" plots, but they are a ton of fun. I can wait for this!

The movie sounds ridiculous but I've heard the book is good and it's starting to look quite intriguing. It almost had me willing to give it a go until I just read "Tim Burton". It's lost me now. Burton has done some amazingly good movies but it's all too tiered and overdone now. His movies have grown stale and boring. Sorry Tim, but you need to up your game, you've become complacent and have lost your edge.

Daniel Day-Lewis is playing Lincoln in Spielberg's biopic titled "Lincoln" not this piece of crap.

@esoules84 How is it historically accurate if it is all about Lincoln fight vampires?!?!
