There's a lot of excitement surrounding the upcoming 300th episode of Supernatural, especially as The Walking Dead's Jeffrey Dean Morgan is finally returning to the series as John Winchester.

It's now been revealed that John is resurrected in an altered reality of sorts when Dean's wish to see his father again is granted. However, not everything changes for the better because Zachariah (Kurt Fuller) is also back and Castiel has been altered in a way which the brothers may not like!

As for why Morgan chose to return now, he said he was biding his time for the right moment.

"The relationships between these three men were so open, so if I was going to come back, it would be nice to have some closure, especially with Sammy," the actor says. Jared Padalecki adds: "This episode gives Sam a chance to forgive," while Jensen Ackles says: "For Dean, the whole episode is a dream that he doesn’t want to wake up from. But he knows he has to."

Good for them, making it to 300 episodes, but this show needs to end already. After season 5 the quality went all over the place, some seasons are just plane bad, others are decent, I guess there are a few good ones, but no show should go on this long, and a long run does not equal quality, its best to go out on top

@dracula - normally I'd agree. But not with SUPERNATURAL. It ebs and flows in quality but it's never ever bad, just not as great as other episodes or seasons. Like any show that lasts this long, its essential to evolve and grow and change and adjust. People complain it's not about monster hunting as much anymore but who wants 14 seasons for monster of the week shit? They had to switch it up and tap into other lore and mythical and spiritual aspects, and its enriched and expanded the shows versatility.

SUPERNATURAL is personally my favorite show and I'm super stoked for this episode!

300!!!
