Good news
Supernatural fans! The CW has confirmed that the show will be back for an eighth season, with Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki also signed up to return as Dean and Sam Winchester respectively. Following the news last month that Sera Gamble would be stepping down for Jeremy Carver to take over as showrunner, another season already seemed likely, but this obviously confirms it.
E! Online reached out to Misha Collins (Castiel) earlier today about whether or not he'll also return. He said,
"I would love to see Cas come back. It's been such a fun show to work on and such a fun character and such a fun fandom to be immersed in. All and all, if there is some way to work out for Cas to come back that'd be great." Jim Beaver (Bobby) added,
"I hope he's [Jeremy Carver] a good boss...by which I mean I hope he figures out a way to use me a whole bunch!"
