According to Collider, The Darkness is getting the big screen treatment. Apparently Regency is nearing a deal to obtain the feature film rights with producers David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman (The Fighter, The Muppets, with Total Recall director and Len Wiseman on board also. The mythology heavy comic book - created by Marc Silvestri, Garth Ennis, and David Wohl - focuses on one of the primal forces of the Universe known as "The Darkness", which attaches itself to a human host.
