The Darkness is getting the big screen treatment. Apparently Regency is nearing a deal to obtain the feature film rights with producers David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman (
The Fighter, The Muppets, with
Total Recall director and Len Wiseman on board also. The mythology heavy comic book - created by Marc Silvestri, Garth Ennis, and David Wohl - focuses on one of the primal forces of the Universe known as "The Darkness", which attaches itself to a human host.
