Sony Pictures has released the first clip from Underworld: Blood Wars and it sheds some light on how Kate Beckinsale's Selene finds herself back in the center of the war between Vampires & Lycans.

The clip picks up shortly before David, played by Theo James (The Divergent Series), delivers an important message to the elusive Death Dealer as she's recovering from a Lycan attack. The 50-second clip also confirms that the upcoming Anna Foerster-directed film will indeed pick up an undetermined amount of years after the previous installment, with Selene back in the wind and somewhat curiously without her ultra-powerful daughter Eve, who seems to have a major role to play in this battle royale.
