Ray… pretend for a moment that I don’t know anything about metallurgy, engineering, or physics — and just tell me what the hell is going on?

Late Friday night, Bill Murray was spotted arriving in Boston, Massachusetts, where coincidentally the new Paul Feig-directed Ghostbusters reboot is currently shooting. Are these two events related? It would appear so as on Saturday, Murray, who starred as Dr. Peter Venkman in the original 1984 classic and its sequel, was spotted on his way to the Ghostbusters set to reportedly film a cameo.

UPDATE: It's been confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter that Murray will indeed appear in the film.

Check out photos of Murray arriving in Boston & heading to the Ghostbusters set below. Also, head over to ComingSoon to check out more photos of Murray:

If they weren't going to do another Ghostbusters with original cast members, they could've done a reboot with the broken lizard comedy group...seeing the guys behind super troopers do a ghostbusters film would've at least been interesting.

Thanks to Bill Murry (mostly), this is why we're getting this rebooted version. He delayed the project so much that they really were going to not include him in the third installment. You got to be jerk when you can send shreds of the script via mail post first class delivery instead of calling Dan Aykroyd and Harld Ramis stating that you didn't like the script. Though I never saw the script that was shredded and given back to them, Bill's arrogance (I feel) costed us a tradition Ghostbusters movie with the original 4 and the passing the torch. "That's the fact jack!" I loved Stripes by the way.

Come on now....really!? This was the only character I didn't like Ernie Husdon playing. Just my option. The hand that rocks the cradle was a excellent movie though.

@Shazam

You didn't like Zeddmore or Solomon?

Shazam

@NeoBaggins

Hey, I love both characters. Winston Zeddmore character was the realist of the group that really made the team complete. I don't know man. Ernie Hudson played his part as Solomon very well in The Hands that Rocks the Cradled. It's probably personal because my son is autistic and it made me root for Solomon more and hate a hell out of Rebecca De Mornay character lol!

Shazam@ About your earlier comment, I think Murray sent the shredded script to Ackroyd in homage to Citizen Kane. And, although he was a constant obstruction for a third GB movie, I think it was more Ramis' untimely passing that finally put it to bed.

I hope this movie does well.
I really want a see this Ghsotbusters franchise that Ackroyd has been talking about take off. There is bound to be a good movie or two that might live up to the original, if they do enough of them.
And it probably all hinges on the first one doing well, so I wish it only the best.

Also, I am really looking forward to the Russo Brothers/Chris Pratt/Channing Tatum Ghostbusters movie. If this one fails, it could jeopardise that.

When you find yourself hating a character, that means the actor is doing an awesome job portraying a villain lol. AndI agree, Hudson was very good in that role.

So its because of him that we're getting this shit in the first place cause he wouldn't do Ghostbusters 3 but he's willing to do this? Still love ya Bill, but WTF? You are way better then this crap.

Not even Bill [frick]ing Murray can get me to watch this shit.

Wow, I love Ghostbusters 1&2 and have been a fan of Murray in (almost) everything he's been in ... but him cameoing in whatever this bastardization of Ghostbusters ends up being kinda pisses me off and makes me less of a fan of his; especially considering (like others have mentioned) all his primadonna behavior towards Aykroyd and Ramis when it came to Ghostbusters 3!

Are people seriously bashing Murray for not making a 3rd Ghostbusters movie, like 20 years later? The first movie was amazing, the 2nd was decent, odds are the 3rd would have been terrible. How many sequels made that much later were any good?

I remember years ago when he made fun of the latest script he received for the movie. It was written by the guys who did, "Year One", and if you haven't seen that movie, you need to watch it, just to see how truly awful it is.

So for 2 decades he can't be bothered to participate in a sequel, yet he can find the time to show up for this [frick]ing abomination. Murray can go [frick] himself!
Shazam
Shazam - 8/9/2015, 10:28 AM
@DukeAcureds

Absolutely a homage to Citizen Kane, but Murry still being jerk none the less. This movie could have been made before Ramis' death, but Murry's silliness (causing delays) and Ramis death pretty much sealed the deal on a third installment with continuity versus the reboot we're currently receiving.
