With four films dated for the next two years, one of which remains undisclosed, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has repeatedly disregarded taking another stab at a solo movie for the Incredible Hulk. However, days prior to Marvel's The Avengers U.S. release and record-shattering box office results, Marvel Entertainment's President of Consumer Products, Paul Gitter gave the notion that the studio was revising their gameplan.
Going as far as saying we could see another solo outing in 2015, (the same year Feige has already promised a "big cinematic event"), Gitter added that the changed plans was due to the Green Goliath tracking very well in audience popularity; thanks to his revised Mark Ruffalo-inspired role in Marvel's The Avengers.
Further increasing that possibility, Bryan Alexander of USA Today recently questioned the solo idea once more, in which Ruffalo then replied, "The producers have sort of asked me about it in some drunken nights in our European press tour, where I would like to see a new movie go."
There is that old saying, "a drunk man's words are a sober man's thoughts." Although we shouldn't expect this Hulk venture for the undisclosed 2014 movie, evidently, it could move into production before The Avengers assembly for the sequel; depending on what this so-called "big cinematic event" will be. What do you think?
