“I was talked about for the bad guy and maybe for the Hulk,” said Rockwell, who added that he “liked about 70 percent” of the film. However, Rockwell was quick to praise the performance of fellow actor Ed Norton, who ended up both writing and starring in the film.
“[Norton was] an excellent David Banner … an excellent choice for the part,” said Rockwell, who added that if the choice were his to make, he would have cast Norton over himself, too.
“[Norton] was more believable as a radioactive scientist,” explained Rockwell.
“See? I just said ‘radioactive’ scientist, so obviously I should not get the part,” laughed Rockwell, “I would have been fired.”
Although that obviously didn't turn out, Rockwell is already a fanboy favorite for his playing of Zaphod Beeblebrox in 2005’s feature-length adaptation of the Douglas Adams “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.”
He's also an online phenom playing “The Bat-Man” to Justin Long’s Robin in the the online parody “Robin’s Big Date.”
