Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. The only people I know who loved the movie, are people who've never read an Iron Man comic book, and have no idea who the Mandarin is.

I read Iron Man and all things Avengers religiously and loved the movie! As far as the Mandarin fake out, why you mad? If their are more Iron man movies it's an Eventuality he shows up, like Feige said they want to use Dr Strange to introduce magic. So it makes sense for them to wait, its the perfect set up!

Santosanderson,

Not to gang up on you, but I also have read comic books on and off for nearly 40 years, and I liked the movie a lot. Can't wait to own it on Blu Ray. You can either like the movie or hate, but not because your a faithful comic book reader.

Some of us just appreciate being able to see live action movies of our favorite characters, and aren't as worried about how faithful they stick to the source material. I thought it was a satisfying story.

I also liked MOS and Wolverine, and really looking forward to many movies the next two years. DOFP, GOTG and A:AOU the most, but I'll certainly give MOS2 a chance also.

Prove to me these points don't harm the continuity of Starks character in the MCU. Then maybe I'll consider this movie at least adequate. I'm tired of you defenders putting words in the mouths of people who had VERY different reasons for not liking this film. And don't pull the DC/Nolan/MOS card, because I'm just as objective to them as well.

"One of the most unnecessary useless scenes in the movie."

Not as unnecessary as Clark visiting a priest for no reason in MOS -_-

eh Jollem is the one who decided to compare MOS to The Avengers in order to make himself feel better -_- I was just proving his point wrong :D

you do realise that Jollem trolls on almost every MCU related article right??? it's [frick]ing annoying. I get his hatred for IM3 but now he's just beating a dead horse -_-

I mentioned Starks continuity AND implied that there are other issues with this movie (which he addresses):

-Tony Stark isn't dark anymore.
and
-He is completely dispensable.

And he didn't need to break anything down xD
Do you need to be spoon fed detail by detail why? It doesn't take a genius my friend. But sure, I will, just for your simple mind :

-Him starting with the Christmas and comedic aspect is perfect. That is literally the damn tone of the movie.

-Everything about the references to Dora, Abbey, the kid, etc. imply that Marvel was just in it for the money. And were completely unnecessary.

I used this review to show how ridiculous Iron Man 3 actually is, when all you fanboys of Marvel try to make IM3 some grand achievement for Cinema and how it was brilliant in its "twist", when IM3's story is just Harry Lockhart from "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang" mashed up with all of Black's Greatest Hits. It's an unoriginal piece of sh*t that is almost the exact same storyline of The Incredibles. . . And you liked IM3?

What does that say about YOU?

And trust me, I know Tony Stark...

THIS is Tony Stark :

NOT this cartoony bullsh*t :

But yeah, keep enjoying whatever Marvel throws at you. At least I can have some hope that DC doesn't head in that direction.

Im an avid Iron Man reader, and I LOVED IM3. I thought the twist (though it did take me out for the movie for 5-10 minutes) worked well in the long run. Although, I would like to see the real, ASIAN, Mandarin come and take revenge upon Earth, with his POWER RINGS, for making a false image of him or something in another Iron Man movie
