Robbins Rejected - Tim NOT in Iron Man 2

Robbins Rejected - Tim NOT in Iron Man 2

The rumor last December was about Tim Robbins playing Tony Stark's father in Iron Man 2. In this short video clip, Robbins tells CinemaBlend that the rumors are untrue. You just can't trust the Internets.

The story said Robbins would play Tony's daddy, and that he would play an important part setting up the Avengers and Captain America movies. See the old article HERE. All damnable lies!

That's a shame - it would have been really cool to see two great actors of Robbins and Downey's caliber on screen together...

Oh well. Guess that actor that played his dad in the first one is happy.

Wonder if they'll use him, like in a flashback of some sort maybe hinting at Captain America...

This is dissapointing. I really like Robbins, and would've loved to see him play that role.

Retribution, it was gonna be in flashbacks, or so say the interwebs. Also, eh, i'm ok with the news actually. Not a big Robbins fan. Like I said before though, the classically trained actors are doing great things. Could've been good. Anyway, trust in Favs.

ill be the first to say thank god, iam not a big fan of his, he has good work, but he's no good for this, and one actor swap is enough for a franchise

This is awesome news!
Screw that America hating douche.

Two Way better choices...
1. Liam Neeson. A great actor with a side of bad ass!
2. Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Fresh of Watchmen. Resembles RDJ so perfectly, its uncanny...enough make up and he plays Daddy Stark to a tee!

Tim Robbins was not my balancing point on seeing this movie, lol. Terence Howard was not the balancing point either, but i'd draw the line at replacing charactes mid-series there unless someone dies.
Yeah Shaman that is just one of the hardest pics to look at, although it has that "by Mennen" quality now.
