While there's currently unconfirmed rumors that Iron Man 3 will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in the US on August 27th, we now have confirmation that the film will be released on September 9th in the UK. At the very least, we can expect the film to be released here in the states close to that date if not on the 27th.

Faster than the 1 and 2 . It's a great idea to release it in DVD & Blu-Ray this fast , so people can enjoy the movie at home . About the trailer , they could have at least added a few moments instead of putting the first trailer ...
Whatever , great movie , hopin they're will be a lot of Extras .

The comment section on this story should be fun once the crybaby defenders and haters of this movie start going to war.

An overall good movie and great comicbook movie, is held down by the overdose of humor making it okay-pretty good.

I doubt the states will get the blu-ray before the uk. Over here we got the avengers released in theatres and on blu-ray a week before the US and iron man 3 was released a week earlier over here as well. I think it will probably get released a week later on 16th.

Cool, preorder mine right after I got home from the theater.

I laugh at all you butt hurt baby cries who tried to drive the movie down, just because you didn't like the Mandarin.

Gee, I wonder who was right? 300 angry nerds (who just found something else wrong even if they got the classic Mandarin) or $1.2 billion?

@Nomis: I would say it goes with Spider-Man 3 as a disappointing installment in a trilogy but, I wouldn't put Iron Man 3 nor Spider-Man 3 in the same category as Batman & Robin. Batman & Robin is proof just how shitty you can make comicbook movies. Spider-Man 3's problem is unnecessary character introductions and overstuffed villains that the storyline couldn't make it work. Iron Man 3's problem is the overdoes on the humor. If you ask me, it gets undeserved backlash for The Mandarin twist. The Mandarin twist made sense in the context of the Iron Man films as well as doing the character justice in a way people don't see. The Mandarin could've been anybody, that's the point of him. He's a terrorist that could be anyone. People were expecting comicbook Mandarin. Comicbook Mandarin wouldn't have worked mostly due to the scenes where the action takes place cause of the magic rings. That's my beef with translating him to the big screen. The reason Killian breathing fire worked is because it was very brief.

I'm not saying Iron Man 3 deserves to be in the top five highest grossing movies but, I definitely think fans need to let go of the twist with, The Mandarin and have an open mind about it and realize it works for the story and that comicbook Mandarin (even if they don't see it entirely) wouldn't translate well to the screen. That's just my logic though.

@-Nomis - At least it has a decent and a non predictable plot unlike MOS.

I should clarify…

… 200 angry Marvel nerds and all the DC nerds

that only makes 298, so under 300

Actually, it was the plot holes that sunk this movie for me. If it were truly a stand alone film, with no relation to the other MCU movies, I would have liked it a lot better.

Crossbones, good points, but will be lost on that group of 298. There are more entrenched than a tick in July. Give them a few years to grow out of their hateful teens (meaning after they get laid) and they'll start to play a little nicer.

I was in comic book heaven after the first Iron man, I literally couldn't stop smiling for days after seeing it.

Same here, I walked out of Iron Man 1 and was pumped to see it again. I liked two better than most on this site or in general but this one didn't really do anything for me.

I loved Iron Man 3, will be pre ordering. Ridiculous to lump it in with the likes of Spiderman 3 and Batman & Robin. The only criticisms I keep seeing are from fans who are upset about the Mandarin and people who thought it was too much fun (?).

Iron Man 3 to me was easily the most ballsy, big budget comic book movie I've ever seen. Reading Shane Black's and Kevin Feige's interviews prior to the movie being released, it was clear that they knew exactly what they were doing and how the audience would react.

Yeah, I hate having an incomplete library. I still don't have, or ever seen, Ghostrider2. Don't have Green Lantern either. They've made it harder to collect bad CBMs for the sake of the library.

"The reason why Adrian was upset with tony Stark was because Tony stood him up leaving him on a roof years ago??"

People particularly mentally unbalanced people like Killian can at times find overwhelming offense in even the smallest of insults. Keep in mind, Aldrich thought about killing himself on that roof when Stark didn't show up.

"Tony trying constantly trying to fix his battered suit yet having all those others suits in reserves to use that he can get in and out of but only used them till the end????"

He couldn't access his suits until after the debris was cleared over what was left of his house. He should've had them at the ready before the attack on his house but he wasn't thinking straight but out of anger about Happy being hurt. If he had, he would have never put a target on his house where his girlfriend Pepper was currently living in with him.

"Tony telling Rhodey he can't get into the Iron man suit that cater only to his bio-rhythms, Yet Peppper and Guy Pierce was able to fit tit and even use it."

The experimental suit Stark was using throughout most of the movie could fit on to whoever he wanted it to and give them control though. However the other suits didn't have this functionality. You'll also notice that when Stark used it against Killian, Killian couldn't control it nor stop the suit from exploding with him inside it.

"And the clincher.... ALL IT TOOK TO GET THE SCHRAPPEL FROM NOT GETTING TONY'S HEART WITH SURGERY WAS A DOCTOR WITH A MAGNET???????? Seriously?

He couldn't get find a doctor with a magnet after he was freed from captivity in afghanastan?"

He could, he was just afraid to. Even in the first movie, Pepper said he had to see a doctor I think and Tony refused to see anyone. Not unexpected given the nature of his character.
