Readying next month's annual Toy Fair, Hasbro has showcased an apparent sixteen figures that'll be released throughout the year; a lineup including a first wave with 3¼-inch Iron Man Mark XLII, Iron Patriot and War Machine, as they'll feature prominently in Iron Man 3 this summer. Speaking with USA Today, Hasbro's senior director of Marvel marketing, Adam Biehl, explains that each pack will offer over 25 different armor combinations. Arriving in stores on Feb. 11, check out promos.

“Kids really want to customize their play experiences. They love to mash things up and make it their own. We really wanted kids to be able to make their own armor and be able to show it off and make unique versions for their friends. As a result [of the movies], kids really know who he is and they really know at the heart of Iron Man is Tony Stark. He's this brilliant industrialist who works in his lab to create his own armor. That's a very aspirational hero behind the mask. In this case, we're trying to create a way for kids to be like Tony Stark and create their own armor.”

Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man? Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce & Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of “Tales of Suspense” (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with “The Invincible Iron Man” (#1) in May of 1968. “Iron Man 3” is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures & DMG Entertainment. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing & Jon Favreau, Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Victoria Alonso, Alan Fine, Charles Newirth, Stan Lee & Dan Mintz are executive producers. The film hits May 3, 2013, & is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

These are terrible. Almost none articulation. Hasbro's 3/4 inch movie lines have been slipping in quality since 2012.

Oh, I miss ToyBiz...have I ever said that before? Screw it, there I've said it again, and I'll probably repeat it while Hasbro still holds the rights. The mash-up concept is great, and I personally am a big fan of such a thing, but the execution seems really poor.

Hasbro's 3 1/4 inch figures used to be spot on (G.I. Joes from the 90's to very early 2000's) but now the quality has gone down. My son can even bend the knees to put them in a sitting position. I guess nowadays toys are to be kept in a package on a shelf and not played with. Pfft, not in my house.

Hopefully these are just prototypes, and that the final Iron Man figure comes with two legs
