As you already know, next year kicks off with Iron Man 3, and the third instalment of the franchise (this time directed by Shane Black) is set to feature fan favourite elements from the comics, such as the "Extremis" armour and 'The Mandarin'. Next up? Superman's eagerly anticipated return to the big screen in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel. After the disappointing Superman Returns in 2006, this looks set to be the film fans have always wanted. Another superhero who makes ha return after a disappointing outing, is The Wolverine, starring Hugh Jackman back as Logan. X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a terrible film, but the Japan set sequel (helmed by 3:10 To Yuma's James Mangold) will hopefully wash away the bad taste left by that prequel. We finish off the year with Alan Taylor's Thor: The Dark World, in which it was recently revealed that we will see Christopher Eccleston as the villainous Malekith The Accursed. When we asked you which of the above films you're most looking forward to seeing on the big screen, it was the return of Superman which clearly has the majority of you wishing 2012 would just hurry up and end already. Of course, it's worth bearing in mind that Man of Steel is the only film we've seen any sort of teaser trailer for (not that it exactly revealed anything too exciting) so whether these results will differ as we get closer to 2013 remains to be seen...
