JOHN CARTER: Director Andrew Stanton Interview Pt.1

JOHN CARTER: Director Andrew Stanton Interview Pt.1

The enthusiasm of director Andrew Stanton for his John Carter movie is catching! In the first part of our exclusive video interview, he discusses his inspiration, his approach to the film, how he envisioned the technology of Mars, and how the adaptation differs from the 100-year-old books.

Filed Under: John Carter of Mars

This is Stanton's first live action movie (or "hybrid" since there are LOTS of cgi characters). Best known for his direction of Finding Nemo and WALL-E he certainly brought that Pixar experience with him for JOHN CARTER. In coming interviews we will discuss that aspect, but for now, enjoy part one...

Hear what Andrew's actors think about him in this little video montage:

It will be full of TDKR, Avengers and Spider-Man sh*t also, when each of those films get closer to its release date. Get over it.

Great interview @Galactus. Stanton seems like a great guy, and he shared some really cool stuff in the video.

I was already interested in seeing John Carter, but watching this made my faith in how Andrew Stanton is going to handle this movie definitely go up. I do believe Princess of Mars is in good hands (although I still wish the Thark design were different!). Not to mention he is very giving with his information, which makes for a great interview.
