Christian Bale Hasn't Spoken To Anybody At Warner Bros. About The JUSTICE LEAGUE Movie

Christopher Nolan has already made it clear that he has no plans to be involved with the planned Justice League movie from Warner Bros., and now Christian Bale reveals that he hasn't spoken to anyone at the studio about reprising his role as Batman in the team-up movie.

In the past, Christian Bale has said that he wouldn't consider returning for a fourth Batman movie unless director Christopher Nolan was involved. However, what about the planned Justice League movie? In the following interview with WGN TV, the Welsh actor was asked about reprising the role in a sequel to The Dark Knight Rises and then specifically Justice League. It would appear that despite the studio apparently hiring a screenwriter in the form of Will Beall, they haven't reached out to Bale about playing the Caped Crusader in the team-up movie.

"Well, I mean, you know; gun to my head I certainly can't give you an answer about that. But I'm really the wrong person to ask. It's down to Chris, and I think that he's been pretty definitive about this being the final chapter."

"I've not spoken with anybody about that. I don't know that that's in-keeping with Chris's world of Batman. I don't know."

Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ "The Dark Knight Rises" is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. The screenplay is written by Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan, story by Christopher Nolan & David S. Goyer. The film is produced by Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Charles Roven, who previously teamed on “Batman Begins” and the record-breaking blockbuster "The Dark Knight." The executive producers are Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Kevin De La Noy and Thomas Tull, with Jordan Goldberg serving as co-producer. The film is based upon characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Batman was created by Bob Kane.

as much as i love his and nolan's films, i think they would both be wrong for the JL team-up movie. get the other solo films going and then re-introduce Batman in the JL movie like they did with Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk

I still say from the way his character acts and the attitude he portrays in the show White Collar, Matthew Bomer would make a pretty good Bruce Wayne/Batman

I think bales batman is gonna die at the end of rises, and Jgl is gonna take over as bats. Perfect set up for justice league, the batman origin is already taken care of and there will be a completely diff take on bats that could fit into jl

I hope this Justice League movie gets made. Cause as amazing as Avengers was, let's face it, the Justice Leauges lineup is pretty legendary. And I'm 100 percent more of a Marvel guy.

Eh, I doubt they're going to get too far ahead on a JLA film until they see how people react to next year's Superman film anyway. If it is met with "Superman Returns" or "Green Lantern" levels of dismissal then they certainly don't want to have tied JLA directly to it.

I would guess the hope right now is to have a hit with Man of Steel, treat JLA as a pseudo-sequel to that where they introduce a new Batman actor, and then have that Batman launch a new Bat series.

I doubt John Blake will take over as Batman, Bruce Wayne had years of training by the League of Assassins/Shadows, John Blake (as far as I’m aware) is just a cop. It would make no sense and he would probably get himself killed on his first outing as Batman :P. Not to mention the Justice League movie will be set outside of the Nolanverse so it would make no sense taking a character created in one universe and putting him in another, even if they tried to, Nolan would probably try to stop it.

Hmm, probably get new actor to play Batman for JLA movie- DO you even need Bruce Wayne to appear in Justice League film?

Ha ha just get the dc animated team to show you the ropes cause they have it dialed in.

I certainly wouldn't be disspoined to see Bale Reprise.

Hah, I actually just put that Freddie interview up there in response to the comments about Bale's lack of enthusiasm after hours and hours of the same questions.... but Freddie's talk of solo albums, of every Queen album being like a collection of solos got me thinking.

I think they should tell a story, like Identity Crisis, where it is involving of characters inside and outside of the Justice League. You can read that story without having read a single Green Arrow, Lantern, Batman, Superman, or Flash comic. I think they should NOT worry about ESTABLISHING the Justice League, but already have them there as a background presence.

PS: Whedon wrote the introduction.

there is no way this version of Batman is gonna be in any justice league movie. Nolan is done with the character and that means so is Bale.

I'm ready for someone else's interpretation on the character.

But then DC will be without it's only way to make to movie money then lol

I would love to see a Justice Movie done, but with WB track record of everything not Batman, it does worry me somewhat as it will probs be Batman centered

Nolan will leave the Batman franchise in such good standing that another film will almost certainly show up before 2020.

Personally I'd rather he show up in a JL movie and reboot sometime after 2020 too. You don't need to make a Batman film before the Justice League like Marvel did with Iron Man, Thor & Cap.

The general public were introduced to those characters in their respective films, but Batman needs no introduction, he's too well-known. Plus it would make fans anticipate JL even more if it's where they'd see his first return since The Dark Knight trilogy.

Great news! Keep both Nolan and Bale far, far away from the Justice League! I'm more than ready to see someone else's interpretation of Batman.

Translation #1: I have lots of fans and I don't want to piss them off by telling them "**** no", so I'm just going to plead total and complete ignorance to the whole thing.

Translation #2: Hey, if WB wants to give me $60mil for 2 month shoot some day down the line, maybe I'll become the real damn Batman.

I think it would be a slap in the face to the fans of this trilogy for Bale not to show up in a justice league movie...the justice league is such a big idea in the comicbook world because it teamed Batman & Superman...as of right now Bale's Batman & Cavill's Superman are the most recognized by the mass audiences... and maybe RR's Green Lantern...If WB/DC are smart, they will have a lead-in from Superman into a Flash movie, and continue from there...establishing Bale and Cavill as their respective top-notch characters, than not bringing them back for the team-up would be completely asinine...I personally want Bale's Batman in the Justice League movie...I think it will bring a sense of seriousness to something that on the surface seems extremely ridiculous...

Get rid of the voice and make him a little more like the Arkham games, then Bale would be good in a JL movie.
