It Sounds Like We Can Forget About That Rumored Cameo For The Joker In JUSTICE LEAGUE

Part rumour and part speculation, the chances of The Joker showing up in Justice League were seemingly looking good. Until now. Despite claims to the contrary, it looks like it won't be happening...

There's been talk for a while now that The Joker might show up in Justice League (it's hard to imagine what he'd be getting up to there, but stranger things have happened), something which was actualy prompted by Jared Leto making a seemingly mysterious visit to London a few months back. However, another rumour started doing the rounds about his involvement this week and was quickly shot down.

So, that's that then it seems. Unless Suicide Squad was originally going to end with The Joker back in Arkham Asylum (the same place we now know Lex Luthor ended up), a cameo wouldn't have made much sense unless it was setting up his appearance in The Batman. With Deathstroke seemingly the lead villain in that movie, it almost feels like the Clown Prince of Crime has been shelved for now.

Could it be due to the mixed response Jared Leto's performance received or Warner Bros. not wanting to repeat a story we've seen play out in Batman and The Dark Knight? Who knows, but with rumours pointing to the villain having some sort of role in the Caped Crusader's next solo outing, here's hoping we'll find out one way or another soon enough. What do you think? Gangsta Joker was the second worst character in SS. Gozer/Enchantress was the worst.
