INJUSTICE: Superman Is UNLEASHED In Bloody Red-Band Trailer For The DC Animated Movie

Warner Bros. Animation has shared a new red-band trailer for Injustice, and if a dark, violent Superman isn't to your liking, then you might want to cover your eyes during this brutal, bloody sneak peek...

In Injustice, an unthinkable tragedy propels Superman into a dangerous new mindset, ultimately pitting Justice League members against each other in what is clearly going to be a brutal, bloody movie if this new red-band trailer is any indication! The feature-length animated film is set for release on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital on October 19, and is based on the Injustice: Gods Among Us video game.

In the trailer, we see plenty of the heroes and villains who will take centre stage in the movie, and a Man of Steel who has completely let loose as he tears through Arkham Asylum. Clayface and Solomon Grundy are among his victims, and fans of the game should be happy with what they see here.

That's something producer Rick Morales assured us of when we spoke to him earlier this year!

The ensemble cast is incredible, and includes names like Justin Hartley (Superman), Anson Mount (Batman), Janet Varney (Wonder Woman), Anika Noni Rose (The Princess and the Frog) as Catwoman, Reid Scott (Green Arrow), Gillian Jacobs (Harley Quinn) Oliver Hudson (Plastic Man), Laura Bailey (Lois Lane), Faran Tahir (Ra’s al Ghul), and Yuri Lowenthal (Mirror Master).

That barely scratches the surface of the actors who will bring these DC Comics characters to life in Injustice, and Matt Peters (Justice League Dark: Apokolips War) directs from a screenplay by Ernie Altbacker (Batman: Hush).

More Evil Superman? yeah, this whole premise definitely hasn't gotten tired yet 🙄

@lordSTALE - No no no no no. You see, this will make GOOD Superman seem refreshing. “What about the CW?” What about it?

@lordSTALE - Does it really count as "more evil Superman" when it's an adaptation of a video game that pre-dates a lot of the modern evil Superman stuff?

Zach Snyder obviously took heavy influence for his movies from this. Although this does it way better.

@CorndogBurglar - The fact that so many people are upset about this makes me realize they dont actually know the Injustice story. It's one of the most well-done "Evil Superman" stories, especially since him and the people on his side arent under some mind control magic or something. This is basically their version of Civil War.

@Himura - Agreed. I could understand where they're coming from if this animated movie was something brand new. But it isn't. This story is 8 years old. The original game came out 3 full years before BvS. Why condemn it? It's adapting a game and story that people loved 8 years ago lol.

@Reeds2Much - Was really just talking literal evil supermans, but if we are also including all evil superman types, yeah Invincible is great

Ah the irony, WB can't make the game that violent, but the animated movies....hell yeah.

This would be pretty cool and interesting to see if we didn’t get Snyder Superman before this... And Homelander... And Omni-Man...

@MeAreLegend - This is what annoys me. We DID get this before Snyder's movies. This is just an adaptation of a video game that came out before Snyder's evil Superman approach, and very few people had any problem with it because the game was great, the story was great, and comic based on the game was great.

I get being tired of evil Superman, but this came before it was a trend to do evil Superman. So I'm not sure why people suddenly flipped the script on this story.

@CorndogBurglar - I am aware of the game and that it came out earlier. Im just saying that seeing another adaptation of this story doesnt interest me as much anymore, because we have seen so many different variations of evil/grey supermen since the release of that game

@MeAreLegend - Thats fair. I'm not trying to tell you how to feel. But to me, this story is the ONLY one done well. So it deserves to have its animated adaptation, just like so many other major DC stories get, and are still getting.

Yeah baby let's go. This reminded why I liked Tom Taylor's Injustice run so much. Wonder how thy're gonna fit it all in a movie though.
Still that stubble on Superman isn't doing it for me.
