20th Century Fox has shared the first trailer for The King's Man, which was originally known as Kingsman: The Great Game.

The prequel boasts and all-star cast led by Ralph Fiennes as T. E. Lawrence, who takes in a young prospect named Conrad (Harris Dickinson) in order to train him as an elite Kingsman Agent. Set during and after World War I, the movie will also explore the origins of the mysterious British intelligence agency.

The trailer doesn't really give us a whole lot to go on (it does seem to have a more serious tone than the previous movies), but we do know that the plot revolves around "a collection of history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gathering to plot a war to wipe out millions, and one man's race against time to stop them.”

Also starring Liam Neeson, Daniel Brühl, Rhys Ifans, Gemma Arterton, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Charles Dance, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Djimon Hounsou, and Stanley Tucci, The King's Man is set to hit theaters on February 14, 2020.

@BlackBeltJones - A needed course correction after how wacky and bad Kingsman 2 got.

@BlackBeltJones - While I liked the movie they did some stupid things in it. Killing off most of the Kingsman was stupid. Roxy better be alive. The Golden Circle should have been like some Illimanti type of group and not a corporation lead by one person. It would have been cool to see a group of surving Kingsman take on members of the Golden Circle.

@tmp3 - Kingsman 2 was kinda gross. Now, I understand why Vaughn doesn't like doing sequels. He doesn't know where the line is.

@Battabing - if this happened it would be the CROSSOVER TO END ALL CROSSOVERS

Matt Reeves, if you're listening, Ralph Fiennes would be an amazing Alfred!

Matthew Vaughn is a King at doing Origin Stories. He just has his formula and it works very well.

So even though this film is a prequel to his Kingman origin...it’s still another origin.

High hopes!

Kings Man 1: Refreshingly good
Kings Man 2: Truly disappointing
Kings Man 3: Return to greatness?

@Nasseal82isback - well this isnt kingsman 3. That seems like a nitpick but they're making a legitimate kingsman 3 after this.

Lots of slow-motion. Zero humor. I guess we’ll see.

@Chewtoy - The excessive slo-mo these days really annoys me.

@L0RDbuckethead - I don’t really mind it as an effect, as it does heighten the visual impact of a moment. But when it’s used in every action sequence, and then all of those sequences are used in a trailer, it does draw too much attention to itself.
