After eleven years and over twenty films, Marvel Studios will finally be taking their cinematic universe to the small screen, with several shows scheduled to premiere on Disney+. However, the studio won’t just be breaking new ground on television, as they will soon enter the world of virtual reality.

The first VR experience, Avengers: Damage Control, comes from the studio and ILMxLAB  and will enable audiences to step into the Marvel Cinematic Universe like never before for an original story, which will see Letitia Wright’s Shuri recruit fans “to test her latest prototype design: Emergency Response Suits, created with a proprietary blend of Wakandan and Stark Industries technology.”

Story details are scarce, but Marvel has revealed that the VR experience will let fans defend the Wakandan Outreach Centers from a familiar enemy and fight alongside “Avengers like Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), the Wasp (Evangeline Lily) and more.”

In addition to unveiling the first teaser trailer for Avengers: Damage Control, Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige discussed the decision to develop an MCU-inspired experience:

“We’re always looking for new stories and corners of the universe for our characters to explore. Now, after more than a decade of amazing support, we are excited to give fans the same opportunity: to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Expanding how people can experience the MCU is something we’re always trying to do, and in Avengers: Damage Control, we wanted to give fans the chance to suit up alongside some their favorite heroes for the first time ever.”

The Avengers: Damage Control experience will kick of on October 18, 2019 at select locations at The Void, including New York City, Atlanta, Santa Monica, and Downtown Disney District in Anaheim, CA. Tickets are currently available.

Assemble alongside Earth's mightiest heroes in Avengers: Damage Control, an all-new virtual reality adventure from Marvel Studios and ILMxLAB. Shuri has recruited your team of four to test her latest prototype design, a powerful new suit that combines Wakandan and Stark Industries technologies. When a familiar enemy from the Avengers' past seeks to steal the technology for themselves, your team must stop them before they unleash an oppressive new age upon the planet. Fight alongside some of your favorite Avengers like Doctor Strange, Wasp, Ant-Man, and more in a race to protect the world. Suit up, step in, and save the world in the ultimate Marvel Studios immersive experience. Available exclusively for a limited time at The VOID.

fight alongside “Avengers like Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), the Wasp (Evangeline Lily) and more.”

So it's less "Avengers: Damage Control" and more "AAAvengers: The Minor Leagues."

I'm guessing you fight Ultron in this cuz he seems like the perfect villain from their past with a massive generic army you can shoot down in games.

I wonder if this has any connection to the Damage Control from Spider-Man Homecoming / the comic books.

Its a shame they never followed through on the Damage Control pilot order for a TV shw.

@Armageddon26 - Wonder if this means Shuri will be the new tinker woman of the MCU.

I bet she will..

Makes sense, since they don't have Reed yet.

Move on from Iron Man.

There’s no reason for Shuri to be making Iron Man style suits.
