MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT's Rebecca Ferguson Lands MEN IN BLACK Lead & DOCTOR SLEEP Villain Role

Rebecca Ferguson was already in demand after her first turn as Ilsa Faust, but since reprising the role for the latest Mission: Impossible movie, the 34-year old Swedish actress' stock has risen even higher.

According to Deadline, Ferguson has signed on to play the female lead (we thought that was Tessa Thompson?) in the upcoming Men in Black revival, and the villain in the big-screen adaptation of Stephen King's The Shining sequel, Doctor Sleep.

No details on her Men in Black role were provided, but in Doctor Sleep Ferguson will play Rose the Hat: the semi-immortal leader of a tribe of quasi-demonic murderers known as the "True Knot", she and her followers seek out children with telepathic abilities and torture them to death, feeding off of their psychic essence they call "steam. Love Rebecca Ferguson! She has been incredible in the last two Mission Impossibles. But I thought Tessa Thompson was the female lead?? Anyways, looking forward to seeing Rebecca in more!

Thought Tessa Thompson was the female lead?

That being said, Ferguson is incredible as Faust in both M:I films and I agree with everyone else that she would play a fantastic Catwoman.

@Zoldyck93 - She could play each and every one of them as far as I'm concerned.

Starring Rebecca Ferguson as The Fantastic Four.

Great, Ferguson is one of the best characters in the M:I series, so I'm glad to see her cast in more stuff that I plan to watch.

@CurlyBill - That's what happens when everyone has an education, healthcare, and livable income. We look better, feel better, and live better.

@CurlyBill - it’s the reward we get for having winters that last 9 months.

If we’re going to be shoveling snow for most of the year, we at least want to look good doing it.

I still think Tessa Thompson will be the lead, but I much prefer Rebecca. She was fantastic in both MI movies.

She looks so old for only being 34. My mother thought she was in her late 40s.
