The Mummy is currently touring all across the world and while reviews and reactions are embargoed until next week, some early buzz has slipped through on Twitter and has been pretty positive, which could mean we may be in for quite the treat come next week.

Global megastar Tom Cruise headlines this first installment in Universal's burgeoning Dark Universe with a supporting cast that contains Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance, and Russell Crowe

Alex Kurtzman (People Like Us) directed the monster movie with a script from David Koepp (Spider-Man; Jurassic Park), Christopher McQuarrie (Mission: Impossible 6), and Dylan Kussman (The Steps).

Yesterday, as part of the weekly #MummyMondays marketing campaign, SyfyWire released another cool new featurette for the upcoming movie, this time shining a spotlight on the beautiful locations and masterfully constructed sets that helped bring this epic story to life. Check it out below:

Tom Cruise headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilization: The Mummy.

Thought safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient queen (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.

The Mummy features:
Director: Alex Kurtzman
Tom Cruise as Nick Morton
Sofia Boutella as Princess Ahmanet/The Mummy
Annabelle Wallis as Jenny Halsey
Jake Johnson as Sgt. Chris Vail
Courtney B. Vance as Colonel Greenway
Russell Crowe as Dr. Henry Jekyll/Mr. Hyde
Marwan Kenzari as Malik
Javier Botet as Set
Selva Rasalingam as King Menehptre
Dylan Smith as Lorenzo Montanari
Rez Kempton as Foreman
Chasty Ballesteros as Kira Lee

Oh yeah, add Sofia Butella's Ahmanet to the year of Queens!!!
Mera, Wonder Woman, Medusa, Ahmanet!! Even if this is remotely good, it should make money, maybe about 500+ million

Can't be as bad as King Arthur, but could do worse than the current Aliens prequel.

@Tighelander - idk, having seen both, king arthur was more entertaining than covenant, although by any means not a good movie, it had its parts

It's different and that's good...
my question is; is it a group of people vs. monsters or is it monsters vs. something else?
