This summer, The Mummy is back for an all-new adventure that is primed to unlock a whole new world of Gods and Monsters for fans worldwide as Universal attempts to relaunch their classic Monsters universe - which is widely remembered as the first shared cinematic universe in history.

Universal has been highly secretive about their upcoming project, having only released a teaser trailer and an awesome behind-the-scenes featurette so far, which shouldn't be all that surprising considering the film is still around four months out. Also, with the impending release of The Fate of the Furious in April, it's probably a safe bet to assume that the studio is holding back the real goods (as in a new theatrical trailer) for when that blockbuster franchise makes its gargantuan return to theaters.

In the meantime, Funko has kicked off some of the early promotions with the unveiling of their upcoming line of The Mummy Pop! vinyl figures, which features their first-ever Tom Cruise Pop!

The figures haven't been finalized yet, so we just have concept art for Sofia Boutella as The Mummy, Boutella as Princess Ahmenet, and Cruise as Nick Morton. Check them out below and be on the lookout for any exclusive figures over the next few months:

Tom Cruise headlines a spectacular, all-new cinematic version of the legend that has fascinated cultures all over the world since the dawn of civilization: The Mummy.

Thought safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient queen (Sofia Boutella of Kingsman: The Secret Service and Star Trek Beyond) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.

The Mummy features:
Director: Alex Kurtzman
Tom Cruise as Nick Morton
Sofia Boutella as Princess Ahmanet/The Mummy
Annabelle Wallis as Jenny Halsey
Jake Johnson as Sgt. Vail
Courtney B. Vance as Colonel Gideon Forster
Russell Crowe as Dr. Henry Jekyll/Mr. Hyde
Javier Botet as Set
Selva Rasalingam as King Menehptre
Dylan Smith as Lorenzo Montanari
Rez Kempton as Foreman
Marwan Kenzari in an undisclosed role
Chasty Ballesteros as Kira Lee

I was watching the last samurai last night. While I was watching, it hit me that Tom Cruise would have made the perfect Lex Luthor. I like Tom Cruise he's a guy who has alot of charisma. He seems like he's got everything he could ever want a great carreer and loads of money, but their has always seemed to be a sense of insecurity about him. To me that's lex. It's probably to late now,but 10 years ago if they would have made an all-star superman film he would have been the ideal Lex.

@CurlyBill - But honestly, I think it's a great shout! He would still make a great Luthor even today.
