Following in the footsteps of such famous websites like Wikipedia and Reddit, I would like to appeal to Comicbookmovie.com to join these sites in opposing the Stop Online Piracy Act(SOPA) and the Protect IP Act(PIPA).

With these two Bills the Government will be able to censor the Internet and can block websites like CBM for copyright infringement.

SO please CBM.com shut down for a day and help protest something that would surely be the end of great websites like this and many online business and livelyhoods.

This is the dumbest idea ever dude. i posted a comment in the other article on SOPA/PIPA and i'm gonna post it here as well.

i dont see what the big deal is. all it will do is stop people from posting spoilers, which isn't a bad thing. i have been coming to this website for 5 years and have noticed that the quality of the content (particularly on the main page) has deminished. i used to check CBM every day but due to the lack of news i have found myself only checking it once a week.

Before anyone starts posting comments about how i'm un-American or anything like that, i'm British (Welsh to be precise). And i was brought up with the understanding that the only true freedom is the freedom of thought. there are things in life that you can control and there are things that you cant, stop focusing on the things that you cant control and instewad focuse on the things that you can, like making this site better for the future. This Bill or Propostion that your talking about will more than likely pass at some point, and that is something you cannot control.

For my final point let me say one thing, being able to use the internet for any purpose you choose to is a gift, NOT a right.

@Galactus, i remember a time when the front page articles were filled with genuine information and the comments section contained thriling conversation, surely there must be a way for the editors to screen the articles better. i would much rather have only 3 new articles on the main page every day with genuine content than 20 that have no relevant info in them at all. it's just something to think about.
